What is a season in Fortnite?
In Fortnite, a season is a set amount of time in which your statistics are kept separate from other seasons. This mainly allows for there to be a 'restart' of sorts for competitive play so that new players would have a chance to compete with others who may have otherwise been playing long. Many of the big updates to the game also launch with new seasons. The game is currently on Chapter 2, Season 6 or rather Season 16.
